Cynthia Horner, born in Illinois and raised in Massachusetts, graduated Cum Laude from Duke University. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, graduating with the Department of Family Practice Award for Academic Excellence in 1994. She completed her Family Practice Residency at Fairfax Family Practice, where she served as Chief Resident in 1997. She is Board Certified in Family Practice and her special interests include pediatrics, preventative medicine and women's health. Dr. Horner is married with two daughters, enjoys running and gourmet cooking, and is active through her church in medical mission work to Sierra Leone.
