Janice E. Ragland, a native Virginian, earned her BA Cum Laude from Old Dominion University and her MD from the Medical College of Virginia. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Riverside Family Practice Center in Newport News, VA. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Ragland also serves as President of the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians, where she is active in supporting legislative actions protecting the health care rights of Virginians. Dr. Ragland has also been honored as one of “America’s Top Family Doctors.” Medical areas of interest include preventive care, adolescents and pediatrics. A sports enthusiast, Dr. Ragland enjoys both watching and participating in sports in her free time, as well as traveling and spending time with family and friends.
