Michael A. Silverstein grew up in Falls Church, and earned his B.A. with Distinction from the University of Virginia in 1978, and his M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia in 1982. He completed his family practice residency training at the University of Vermont Medical Center in 1985. He lives with his wife and two children and has been practicing at Herndon Family Medicine since it opened in 1986. A fellow of the American Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Silverstein is the former Chairmen of the Department of Family Practice at Reston Hospital. Leisure time pursuits include sports.
