Jason A. Cooper M.D.
|
|
Jason
Cooper
lives with his wife and son in Maryland. He graduated with honors,
Phi Beta Kappa from Brandeis University in 1991, and received his
medical degree with honors, Alpha Omega Alpha, from the University
of Maryland School of Medicine in 1995. He completed his residency
at Fairfax Family Practice Center in Fairfax, Virginia, where he
served as Academic Chief Resident in 1998. He has a special interest
in complementary and alternative medicine, and pediatrics. Outside
of work activities include golf, meditation, and chasing his son.

Natasha C. Hofberg N.P.
|

Natasha
C. Hofberg
grew
up in North Carolina and received her BSN from the University of
North Carolina in Wilmington. She graduated with honors, Signa Theta
Tau, from the collaborative George Mason University/George Washington
University program with an MS, with concentration as a Family Nurse
Practitioner. Natasha has a special interest in family medicine.
She enjoys spending time at the beach, the ballet, theater, jogging,
and yoga.Natasha resides in Northern Virginia with her husband.

Deborah I. Leavens M.D.

Deborah
Leavens
grew up in Mclean and received her B.A. with distinction from the
University of Virginia and her M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia.
After completing her Family Practice Residency training at Fairfax
Family Practice, she joined the Army in 1986. In addition to family
medicine, Dr. Leavens enjoys providing obstetrical care for her patients
and she is certified in geriatrics. In her free time she enjoys reading,
gardening, cycling, traveling, and is active in her church.

Marc Plescia M.D.
|
|
Marc
Plescia,
a native of New Jersey, attended Duke University, graduating with
honors. He received his medical education at Rutgers Medical School,
and completed his residency with the Fairfax Family Practice Center
in 1986. Certified by the American Board of Family Practice, Dr. Plescia
has been named to one of the "Best Doctors in America" and
Washingtonian's "Top 100 Doctors". A member of the varsity
baseball team while at Duke, he once had a try out with the Philadelphia
Phillies, and now enjoys golf and snow skiing. Dr. Plescia has special
interests in preventative medicine and pediatrics. He resides in Northern
Virginia with his wife and three daughters.

Janice
E. Ragland M.D.

Janice
E. Ragland,
a native Virginian, earned her BA Cum Laude from Old Dominion University
and her MD from the Medical College of Virginia. She completed her residency
in Family Medicine at Riverside Family Practice Center in Newport News, VA.
She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and recognized as a Fellow of the
American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Ragland also serves as First
Vice President of the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians, where she is
active in supporting legislative actions protecting the health care rights
of Virginians. Dr. Ragland has also been honored as one of “America’s Top
Family Doctors.” Medical areas of interest include preventive care,
adolescents and pediatrics. A sports enthusiast, Dr. Ragland enjoys both
watching and participating in sports in her free time, as well as traveling
and spending time with family and friends.

Anita G. Rentz M.D.

Dr.
Rentz
lives
with her husband and daughter in Northern Virginia. She graduated
from the University of Maryland in 1988 with a B.S. in Biology and
then obtained her MD from the medical college of Virginia in 1992.
She completed her Family Practice residency training in 1992 at Carolinas
Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Rentz is board certified
in Family Practice, and has a special interest in Pediatrics and Adolescents.
In her leisure time, Dr. Rentz enjoys spending time with her family,
horseback riding, traveling and is active in her church.

Michael A. Silverstein M.D.

Michael
A. Silverstein
grew up in Falls Church, and earned his B.A. with Distinction from
the University of Virginia in 1978, and his M.D. from the Medical
College of Virginia in 1982. He completed his family practice residency
training at the University of Vermont Medical Center in 1985. He lives
with his wife and two children and has been practicing at Herndon
Family Medicine since it opened in 1986. A fellow of the American
Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Silverstein is the former Chairmen
of the Department of Family Practice at Reston Hospital. Leisure time
pursuits include sports.

Kevin M. Weaver M.D.

Kevin
Weaver
grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland and received his B.S. with honors
from the University of Maryland in 1979 and his M.D. from the University
of Maryland in 1983. He completed his family practice training at
Fairfax Family Practice in 1986 and became Board Certified later that
year. Within the realm of family practice he has a special interest
in sports medicine and pediatrics. He lives with his wife and three
children in the area, and enjoys sports, dance and theater.

Cynthia Horner M.D.

Cynthia
Horner,
born in Illinois and raised in Massachusetts, graduated Cum Laude
from Duke University. She received her medical degree from the Medical
College of Virginia, graduating with the Department of Family Practice
Award for Academic Excellence in 1994. She completed her Family Practice
Residency at Fairfax Family Practice, where she served as Chief Resident
in 1997. She is Board Certified in Family Practice and her special
interests include pediatrics, preventative medicine and women's health.
Dr. Horner is married with two daughters, enjoys running and gourmet
cooking, and is active through her church in medical mission work
to Sierra Leone.

Tosha Luchtefeld, N.P.

Tosha
Luchtefeld,
grew up in Indiana and received her BSN with Distinction, Sigma Theta Tau,
from Indiana University. She graduated with Honors, first in her class, from Georgetown
University with an MS, concentration as a Family Nurse Pracititioner. Tosha enjoys
traveling, yoga, running, and spending time with her family. She resides in MD with her
husband and their two sons.

Kathryn Reber, N.P.

Kathryn
Reber,
grew up in Ohio and received a BA in biology, theater and anthropology from Colby
College. She received her nursing degree from Johns Hopkins University. Then she
continued her nursing education at Georgetown University where she received her
Masters in the Science of Nursing, with a concentration as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Katie is on the board of the local chapter of the Virginia Council of Nurse
Practitioners. She is certified by the ANCC. Katie enjoys travel, photography,
reading as well as watching Big 10 football!
