To Our Loyal Patients:
The management of our building has decided to enforce the provisions of our lease related to parking, which was not previously the case in the 10 years we have occupied this building. Under our lease, we are entitled to 55 parking spaces. We requested that these spaces be reserved for Herndon Family Medicine close to our entrance; however, the management will not allow that. They have instead chosen a hanging tag system.
Unfortunately, this means you will need to get a tag from the staff at the front desk, place it in your car, and after you have finished, return it to the office. We will ask you to leave your driver’s license in exchange for the tag. We have been informed by the management the replacement tags cost $30. If a tag is not returned, we will seek reimbursement for this amount. We were informed by the management of the building that they will be enforcing towing strictly as of December 1, 2014.
Please do not park without the tag or your car may be towed. We will not be able to reimburse towing expenses. The staff of Herndon Family Medicine will park off-site so as to leave as many spaces as possible for our patients. We are extremely unhappy about this situation and are currently looking at our options for remedying it. Thank you for your patience while we look for a better solution than the one that has been forced on us by the management of the building.
A patient-centered medical home is a model of care where each patient has an ongoing relationship with a personal physician who leads a team responsible for that patient's care. The physician-led care team provides for every patient's health care needs and coordinates care across the health care system.
